Inspired by one of the most iconic symbols of Ancient Egypt, this piece is meticulously crafted from a high-resolution 3D scan of the original pectoral discovered in the tomb of Pharaoh Tutankhamun (KV62). The ancient masterpiece now rests in the collection of the Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza, and our recreation honours its sacred lineage with precision and reverence.

Dating to the 18th Dynasty (circa 1567–1320 BCE), the original pectoral features the Wadjet (Eye of Horus)—a powerful emblem of healing, protection, and restoration. The central eye is flanked by the divine guardians of the Two Lands:

- Wadjet, the cobra goddess crowned with the Red Crown of Lower Egypt,

- Nekhbet, the vulture goddess crowned with the White Crown of Upper Egypt.

Together they represent the unity of Kemet and the cosmic order upheld by divine power.

The Wadjet eye itself combines the detail of a human eye with the falcon markings of Horus, son of Isis and Osiris. According to tradition, Horus lost his left eye in battle with Seth while avenging his father’s murder. The god Thoth restored the shattered eye to wholeness, and it became a potent symbol of healing, integrity, and spiritual protection. The word Wadjet translates as “sound” or “made whole”, and the symbol was widely worn in antiquity to ward off illness and misfortune while invoking the blessings of Horus.

Each Living Horus Design is created to honour this timeless legacy—bridging ancient devotion with modern craftsmanship.
