The Hemhem crown is a highly distinctive ancient Egyptian royal headdress that was worn by pharaohs during the New Kingdom period, around 1550-1069 BCE. The most famous wearer was Tutankhamun, whose golden throne features the intricate headpiece on the backrest. The Hemhem crown features three ostrich feathers, a pair of ram horns, and a sun disk. The ostrich feathers were believed to symbolize truth and justice, while the ram horns represented the pharaoh's strength and power. The sun disk was a reference to the sun god Ra, whose power the pharaoh was thought to embody. The Hemhem crown is one of the most recognizable symbols of ancient Egypt's royal power and majesty.
Individually made from strong, durable EVA foam and acrylic paints and ornaments. Featuring the protective Ureaus serpent prominently on brow, this piece is perfect as either a display piece or wearable.
It is recommended to wear and display the headdress at moderate temperatures as heat can affect the bonding agents and finish.
